1. Who We Are
Habit Hustle is operated by Dreaded Software LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use the Habit Hustle platform (“Service”). If you have any questions, contact us at support@habithustle.online.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: Your email address and OAuth provider identifier (Google, Microsoft, or Facebook account ID). We never store your full name unless you choose a display name in onboarding.
- Display name: A nickname you choose — real name is not required or stored.
- Device preference: Whether you use iOS or Android (selected during onboarding to configure screen-time sync).
Screen-time usage data
The core function of the Service requires you to submit screen-time usage data (app bundle IDs, daily minutes used, open counts) so we can track goal adherence. In the current beta, this data is entered manually via the app. In future releases, it may be synced automatically via Apple Screen Time or Google Digital Wellbeing with your explicit permission. Screen-time data is used only to calculate your goals, track your Hustle progress, and generate your baseline audit. It is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Payment information
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account details, or other raw payment credentials. We store only the identifiers Stripe gives us: a Stripe customer ID and, where applicable, payment intent IDs and payout account IDs. For more on how Stripe handles your data, see stripe.com/privacy.
Device and analytics data
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google): On mobile, we use Firebase to collect anonymized crash reports, performance metrics, and aggregate usage analytics. Firebase does not link this data to your Habit Hustle identity.
- Device information: Device type (iOS/Android), OS version, and timezone, used for notification scheduling and screen-time sync configuration.
- Log data: Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, HTTP status codes) retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Service — goal tracking, Hustle management, payouts.
- To send you notifications about your Hustle progress, streaks, and results.
- To calculate pot distributions and process payments via Stripe.
- To generate your personal baseline audit from your submitted usage data.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms & Conditions.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data to serve you targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-Party Processors
We share your data with the following third-party processors only to the extent necessary to provide the Service:
- Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing, payout account management. Stripe holds all card and bank data; we hold only Stripe-issued identifiers.
- Microsoft Azure — Cloud hosting, managed PostgreSQL database, and static web app hosting. Your account data and usage data are stored in Azure-hosted infrastructure in the United States.
- Databricks — Analytical batch processing of usage data for baseline audits, streak calculations, and pot distributions. Data is processed within the Azure environment.
- Google Firebase (mobile only) — Crash reporting and anonymized performance analytics. No personal identifiers are shared.
All processors are contractually required to handle your data only as directed by us and in compliance with applicable privacy law.
5. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Screen-time usage data is retained for up to 24 months to support historical baseline audits and analytics.
- Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable accounting and tax regulations.
- Upon account deletion, non-financial personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days. Financial records required for legal compliance are retained for the required period in anonymized or de-identified form where possible.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete your account and associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
- Export your data in a portable format.

7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; if you suspect a security incident, contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
